I was responsible for the delivery of three major publication projects for SISJAC: 1) an edited volume of lectures given at the Sainsbury Institute (co-editor); 2) the translation of an archaeology monograph from Japanese into English; and 3 the creation of an online course in Japanese Cultural Studies, including platform management, course structuring.

I worked on a major British Academy/Leverhulme funded project examining the state of news/media literacy education in the UK. My role was to undertake background research, collecting information about education initiatives, surveying and recruiting initiatives, industry professionals and policymakers for collaboration.

In academic year 17/18 I was seminar tutor on a first-year undergraduate history module, covering colonial experiences of China, India and Japan. As seminar tutor I encouraged students to consider the different experiences of these countries, engage critically with materials, including primary sources, and develop various skills such as argumentation.
