Shape & Shadow is the animation studio of artist and director Hayley Morris. Shape & Shadow specializes in mixed media and stop-motion animation techniques to tell stories that unfold through layered textures, hand crafted details, and inventive storytelling. Our projects range from commercials, social media spots, music videos, projection design, miniature fabrication and short form animation for documentaries and feature films. Shape & Shadows' recent projects include the animated opening sequence for the Netflix film 'The Half Of It', animated tour visuals for Bon Jovi & The Smashing Pumpkins, a music video for Sesame Street, and an animated promotional video for the non profit Trickle Up. Past clients include, Samsung, Hewlett Packard, Kate Spade, Burt’s Bees and many more. Hayley has a passion for working with musicians and has created music videos for Iron and Wine, Explosions in the Sky, Pure Bathing Culture and Grammy-award winning violinist Hilary Hahn, and pianist Hauschka.
