As a consultant at Curve Group, I have supported and led leadership and learning, change and transformation, and performance and culture projects. I found projects that focused on organisational culture to be the most rewarding.Key projects: - Leadership Experiences (large Australian brand house) - supported the design and led the build and implementation of two, seven-month learning experiences aimed at upskilling front-line and mid-level leaders to enable aggressive company growth and culture change. Project managed and engaged with senior stakeholders throughout the projects. - Functional Alignment (G08 university faculty) - supported a structural alignment by leading the data collection, analysis and presentation of faculty needs. Co-created recommendations with senior leaders, including culture and leadership requirements for the future state. - Future of Work (Victorian Government agency) - supported three future of work online collaborative workshops with a broad range of stakeholders. Workshops focused on hybrid working requirements and COVID-19 vaccination status.

As part of the People & Culture team, I supported all tasks across the employee life cycle and partnered with the Senior Leadership Team to execute their strategy. My duties included recruitment, onboarding, supporting organisational change such as restructures, implementation of updated and new policies and procedures, payroll, managing biannual performance and remuneration review process. Over my tenure, the People & Culture function matured and with that, a range of updates had been implemented using human resources best practices that were endorsed by Senior Leadership. These included policy execution, performance and remuneration reviews, and change management for new processes and operations technology for resourcing and human relations. I was particularly passionate about employee relations because it leads to higher staff satisfaction and retention as well as benefiting the business through high-standard outputs and higher profit.Key Projects: - Performance and Salary Reviews - Initial implementation and continuous iteration of bi-yearly performance and salary reviews. This included collating all required data, conducting market research for salary band adjustments, supporting new team members through their first process, and communicating all payroll changes. - Policies and Procedures - Led the implementation of human resources software across the business, with a special focus on upskilling Senior and Mid-Level Leaders. - Special project - B-Corporation recertification to highlight the organisation's commitment to the community, the environment, and team members.

Contracted for 6 months, I divied into the operations of the business and took on additional projects to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Examples were Local Legends, a fireside chat with local entrepreneurs that encourages employees to think outside the box, and implementing a staff perk system to increase performance development and staff engagement.

International

I took 6 months away from work to cycle around Southern Europe with my partner. Over 8,000km, we navigated the logistical challenges of language barriers, mechanical issues and the never-ending search for our next camping spot. My favourite locations were Chamonix in France and Girona in Spain.

Southbank

As one of the first team members, I assisted with the growth and curated support given to the 85+ businesses which called One Roof home. The support included human resources and operations support and fostering connections within the wider startup ecosystem. I managed the day-to-day running of the business, the lifecycle of staff, as well as internal and external stakeholder partnerships. Alongside this, I took on special projects aimed at aimed at bringing the co-working and broader startup ecosystem together. This included events showcasing members, end of year celebrations and managing the application and implementation of B Corporation certification.

I was responsible for the physical, social and emotional needs of residents in varying conditions from semi-supportive to palliative. I had KPIs to meet daily whilst having the autonomy to best meet residents' needs at that time. I specifically enjoyed working with the residents who required palliative care as I was able to make a greater impact by taking a human-centred approach.
