I am the Overdose Response Strategy Public Health Analyst for the state of Minnesota. The Overdose Response Strategy is a partnership between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). The Overdose Response Strategy aims to increase collaboration and information sharing across public health and public safety sectors at the local, state, and federal levels with the goal of decreasing overdose deaths. I work closely with local and state agencies to implement evidence-based overdose prevention programs.

Division of Health Policy and ManagementFamilies & Long-Term Care Projects Conduct quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research for multiple National Institutes of Health-funded projects. Tasks include: interviewing caregivers to evaluate the effects of different interventions aiming to improve caregiver outcomes; collecting, managing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.; coordinating interventionist training for a national multisite pragmatic trial; recruiting and consenting participants; and presenting research findings at national scientific conferences and community events.

Analyzed spatial data using ArcGIS to assist clinic leadership in making strategic decisions. Conducted needs assessment and wrote HRSA grant application.

Interviewed stakeholders serving older adults in Minnesota's diverse communities with the goal of identifying assets and unmet needs of historically underserved older adults. Analyzed qualitative data and wrote report presented to the Minnesota Leadership Council on Aging and community stakeholders that will inform the Council's future policy priorities.

Wrote literature reviews on cancer prevention and screening in American Indian populations and synthesized literature into training resources for urban and tribal clinic partners. Developed social media content.

Designed data collection instruments for an evaluation of a program aiming to improve outcomes for American Indian youth. Communicated with key stakeholders in the evaluation process in order to ensure the cultural competence of the evaluation. Analyzed qualitative data from interviews with low-income women in substance abuse treatment. Wrote literature reviews on topics such as American Indian health, substance abuse treatment, and high need, high cost users of healthcare. Collaborated with colleagues in writing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
