As a strategic leader overseeing graduate enrollment management for Northwestern's Medill School, I led domestic and international recruitment efforts, driving innovative outreach strategies to expand the school's global presence. Spearheaded the identification of new target markets, shaping recruitment initiatives to attract diverse, high-caliber applicants. Managed all aspects of the admissions process, including conducting interviews, reviewing applications, and overseeing decision management. Led event and program planning to engage prospective students, while collaborating closely with marketing communications to strengthen the Medill brand within the marketplace.

Led and coached a team of admissions advisers in the recruitment and enrollment efforts for a diverse range of academic programs within Northwestern’s School of Professional Studies (SPS), including undergraduate, graduate, post-baccalaureate, pre-medicine, professional health sciences, and non-credit professional development certificates. Successfully guided team to achieve enrollment goals through strategic planning, performance monitoring, and targeted outreach initiatives.

Recruited and engaged with non-traditional adult audiences to support qualified undergraduate and graduate applicants through a variety of platforms, including on-campus information sessions, online webinars, individual in-person and teleconferencing appointments, as well as off-campus college fairs.

Pioneered and built from the ground up recruitment and admissions strategies for the College of Architecture, Design, & the Arts and its four academic units: School of Art & Art History, School of Theatre & Music, School of Architecture, and School of Design. Developed and implemented innovative strategies that spurred application growth and established new recruitment pipelines that drove enrollment across diverse suite of programs.Traveled extensively as an institutional representative at local and national recruitment events, conferences, open houses, workshops, admissions panels, and college fairs, enhancing visibility and engagement with prospective students.Served as a key member of the Vice Provost’s Enrollment Management Working Group, advising on the University’s strategic enrollment management initiatives. Played a pivotal role in off-campus yield event planning, international recruitment efforts, and the successful implementation and rollout of the Common Application, contributing to the University’s long-term enrollment objectives.

Responsible for local, national and international recruitment and application processing of both undergraduate and graduate student populations. Utilized a holistic and student-centered advising approach to assist prospective students during on-campus visits and through teleconferences about academic programs, admissions/application requirements, transfers credit and registration. Assisted student borrowers and parents in the selection, account management, and completion of federal and private student loan products for a servicer/lender of a $1.5 billion loan portfolio. Counseled borrowers on federal and state government rules and regulations, plus deferment and consolidation options.
