Aged 16, I began a BSc in Natural Sciences with the Open University, to learn more about our planet’s processes and challenge myself academically. I graduated with a First-Class degree and a comprehensive understanding of earth and environmental processes, effective information synthesis, and robust scientific methods. For two years, I held a full-time management position for a Wildlife Trust visitor centre, which has strengthened my love for leading and working with teams that are passionate about protecting the environment. I currently hold a separate part-time position as Sustainability Manager for a small scientific instrument business. I am responsible for implementing ISO 14001 and ISO 50005 management systems and delivering excellent CSR standards in line with our gold accreditation.I am deeply concerned with the current state of our climate and the future health of our planet. I felt that studying a Master's would enable me to develop my professional skill sets, provide a foundation of theoretical knowledge and broaden my network. I am very excited to be studying at the University of Bath, graduating in September 2025. After attaining my MSc, I aim to work in sustainability consultancy, incorporating my professional experience and knowledge gained during my MSc to support business optimisation and achieve sustainable business practices globally.
