Urban Peaks is a climbing school set up by I set up back in 2012. After completing my climbing qualifications I wanted to make climbing accessible for everyone so set about working part time at my local climbing centre, I have now moved on and set up a climbing school operating out of local climbing walls (for now any way).My drive for Adventure came from my teenage years when I was a member of the Air Training Corps. I spent almost every weekend of the year for 3 years out and about walking, kayaking and climbing. It was only in the August of 2011 however that I really got into his climbing. I was soon to become an instructor with the Air Cadets and wanted to be able to give the future generation a great climbing experience. I climbed and taught solid for 8 months and gained the Climbing Wall Award Qualification. I made the most of it almost instantly taking cadets and friends climbing at numerous centers."Working with the cadets has given me a vast experience working with a teenage year group. My volunteer work through the local centre has also allowed me to build up a substantial base working with a number of different aged and mixed ability groups.Looking into the future Urban Peaks will run a multi-pitch indoor climbing and activity centre in the south of England.However, for now we enjoy making the most of the skills we have learnt, teaching others and giving everyone, no matter what age or background the chance to explore the wonders of climbing.​"

Following an approximate 4 month spell at Waitrose after finishing my A - levels Inline valve wasn't where I had expected to end up, given the mindset I had left school with. For all of my teenage life my career ambitions and everything I had worked towards was intended for a role in joining the Royal Marines. It was the chance to travel that drew me into applying for a new position opening up at Inline Valve. The company sought to take on a warehouse operative/ installation, service and commissioning engineer. Inline Valve was dedicated to providing solutions to control flow in the most arduous applications. Focussed on the upstream oil and gas industries, Inline Valve provided; Chokes for production and injection, Choke and Control Valves for automated and remote flow control and manual and automated control valves with multistage trims for use in high pressure gas production and for anti-cavitation service in water injection and dumping. The majority of my time here was spent as warehouse manager, the job consisted of maintaining stock of test equipment, ensuing stock of custom coated studs and nuts were in house on time for assembly. Day to day it was my job to prioritise and time manage the successful assembly and testing of many high pressure products due for installation in demanding oil and gas pipeline applications, primarily on drilling platforms. I used basic CAD programs to design custom brackets for limit switches and positioner systems.I was also the master ‘Swagelok plumber’ and it was my job to carry out any such stainless steel tubing runs that were required, for both pneumatic and hydraulic actuators.I spent 2 occasions, of a week in duration on an offshore platform 100 miles off the coast of Vietnam, here we installed and serviced our wellhead valves and actuators. It was in Vietnam that I also completed my (now lapsed) Tropical Basic Offshore Survival Training Course.
