Those who work with me call me a ‘people-person’. I bring a creative and positive orientation to the work place, as well as an ability to be flexible and to problem solve. At The Downtown Bookstore I organized many cultural and community events, often in partnership with other organizations. As a dedicated member of the Words Aloud Festival team I have many years experience delivering a highly successful multi-day cultural event with a national reputation. I have published fiction and non-fiction in some of Canada’s and Ireland's premier journals as well as produced copy for newsletters, media releases, promotional brochures, event programs, and social media. Furthermore, I have prepared many successful grant applications on behalf of the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Words Aloud Festival and the Sweetwater Music Festival and managed all the necessary interim and final reporting.I have successfully worked in a wide variety of positions where attention to detail has been paramount. In my present role at the Blue Heron Company, I work collaboratively with a team providing excellent customer service and visitor information.
