I enjoy interacting with people whether they be clients, stakeholders or employees. Planning and implementation of projects or events has been an aspect in every organisation that I have worked or volunteered with utilizing my organisational and marketing skills. Organised charter bus trips and bus passes to expand the recreational and life skill development of the youth aged 4 to 25 years of age.Expanded the speciality concept to include March Break Camp and a Saturday Fun Club. Realising the need for parents to have adult time, created a Family Fun Night for both the ASD youth and their siblings to attend to allow for a kid free evening.Created a Camp within the Camp for those that were higher functioning with a Counsellor in training model. From this model a dedicated program was created that allowed the youth to vote and develop the program content deciding which of the many fun and challenging activities to choose to visit that Ottawa had to offer. The program aimed to assist with life skill development with gaining comfort in ordering Fast Food and eating in restaurants which can be over whelming.The success of the programs was a team effort and I was fortunate over 10 years to be able to train and mentor young adults, promoting those that had great potential even if they didn't realise it themselves and creating a management team to take responsibility for the different organisational and implementation aspects of a challenging and dynamic environment. Being responsible for all aspects of Human Resources, we hired and trained many teenagers, respecting inclusion and diversity who were experiencing working and interaction with autism for the first time. With support and training in the natural environment they became dedicated support workers and advocates for autism and those with disabilities and took that out in to the wider community securing positions in school boards and many aspects of the medical and social services industries.

As the company knew I was working on my professional marketing qualifications, I was given the additional responsibility of all aspects of the UK marketing which included a newsletter, direct mail campaigns, advertising campaigns and working with a PR agency for press announcements. Also coordinated marketing events to support regional sales teams and a UK Roadshow with 5 locations in England and one in Scotland. Working collaboratively with a small team of customers, we developed the UK User Group, a two day conference for customers to attend in excess of 40 presentations by company representatives and Customers of the Mentor Graphics suit of products. The event also included accommodation, diner and evening entertainment which I coordinated for 300+ people. I also organised a dedicated User Group for Scottish Customers and a University User Group for those customers in the Education sector.
