The Currenex’s ECN is a market leader in providing ultra-low latency trading solutions via Ouch and FIX based application programming interfaces as well as via desktop and mobile client trading front ends. Currenex is also a leader in the Private-Label technology space by providing institutional-grade FX platforms to retail broker-dealers world wide. Currenex was acquired by State Street in 2007.Managed a team of 45+ development and QA engineers responsible for the Currenex platform. Helped scale the team through an explosive growth phase for the company including recruiting top talent; starting new engineering offices in Vancouver and India. Interface with sales, product management and operations to prioritize the product deliverables. Closely involved in the company’s acquisition by State Street including managing the technology due diligence.Lead the architecture, development and launch of a distributed and scalable server environment built to handle very large number of price/order updates, trade execution and order matching in real time. The architecture has stood the test of time and continues to be one of the leaders both in terms of performance as well as platform capabilities.

Early member of the team that built the world’s first web-based secure foreign exchange trading platform from the ground up within six months, later receiving several major industry awards.Led the development of trading user interfaces, including a Java Swing based thin client for FX Trading and Web interfaces to implement pre-trade and post-trade workflows.Assumed hands-on leadership to overcome significant technical challenges to implement a secure electronic transaction network and client-server architecture that operates globally in sub-second timeframes based on a public internet strategy.

Managed a team of four engineers delivering product features and user interface development for FlexRoute, a shape based layout and routing product.Led the integration of development team and core technology into the Synopsys product line post acquisition.

Joined Everest as its third employee, part of the team that developed the first version of the product. Directly involved with the technical due-diligence during Everest's acquisition by Synopsys.Hired and scaled the engineering team; managed product development, schedules, software releases and processes. Trained and consulted with beta customers and prospective buyers while developing the product.Implemented an interactive editor for IC routing and physical chip design that also enabled the visualization of large IC databases. Developed in the MFC/Visual C++ environment and ported to UNIX.

Designed and developed Exposure, a ground-breaking layout and planning tool for setting up scenes in animated feature length films containing 2D cel and 3D animation used by DreamWorks SKG Animation. Written in C++/OpenGL / IRIX

Lead a team of software engineers in developing 3D electromagnetic simulation tools as well as visualization/post-processing tools. Architected, designed and implemented an innovative 3D post processing system to visualize electromagnetic fields. It included a demand driven field calculator; several geometric visualization tools; scripting and animation. Developed in C++/OpenGL in a MOTIF/Windows framework.
