Chris joined MEC in 2024 to lead and expand the Transport division in the Midlands. He brings 15 years' Transportation Planning experience in the residential, commercial, education and leisure sectors to his work. A skilled technical lead and driven manager, Chris is experienced in leading teams of transport planners and engineers as Project Manager and Discipline Lead on a range of major Development and Infrastructure projects in the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands.He specialises in highway design and junction modelling, but is also experienced in Strategic Transport Model runs (SATURN / VISUM), complex spreadsheet-GIS manual trip forecasting tools, gravity models, assignment models (OmniTRANS), manipulation of micro-simulation modelling (Paramics, VISSIM), LinSig and Junctions 10 - and developing robust and cost-effective Transport Mitigation Strategies to achieve planning consents for our clients. He is also skilled in report-writing (Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, EIAs). He is a registered Member of the CIHT, currently studying towards a Chartered Transport Planning Professional qualification and working with clients in the Midlands to expand the MEC Transport Division.
