• Perform pre job and toolbox safety meetings. Ensure that all SOP’s are reviewed and adhered to. • Ensure all tasks performed coincide with the guidelines set in their SOP’s. • Manage crew members and their responsibilities to be performed on day to day operations. Assess crew member’s performance and competence. Share my knowledge to help train and coach them to carry out their duties to the best of their ability in a safe and productive manner.• Participate in regular safety/emergency drills with other crew members and personnel on location. • Ensure that all crew members are always wearing their PPE and working in accordance to the SOP’s.• Complete rig up and pre spud inspections. Prepare BHA, drill pipe and casing prior to operations.• Ensure that all floor and overhead equipment are inspected prior to use and that all the rigs daily inspections/services are being performed. • Perform a walk around the rig prior to each shift checking over equipment and for any hazards.• Having a good hand over with my relief at the end of my shift. Informing them of problems encountered, drilling parameters, jobs to be performed etc. • Complete Daily Drilling Reports. Keep an up to date daily log of well history which includes, drilling parameters, mud product used, problems encountered, operations performed etc.• Maintain an accurate and complete record of all equipment which enters the well.• Nipple the BOP up and down. Function and pressure test all well control equipment. Conduct BOP operations and BOP drills. • Drill, POOH and RIH Casing as per Well Site Rep’s instructions. Abide by the provided Drillers notes, contacting them if any problems are encountered.• Carry out total rig down/tear out procedures for transport and rig move.

I went to Enerdrill as a Floorhand after drilling at Savanna Energy. It is a Top Drive Triple Rig and we are Air Drilling, Coring and conventional rotary drilling with mud. After I resigned from my Drillers position at Savanna Energy, I wanted to get back on to big rigs and Enerdrill was the first company to offer me work and I jumped at the chance. I performed all Floorhand duties there as well as working the monkey board during tripping operations and relieving the derrick hand on the tanks.

I started at Savanna Energy as a Floorhand on their first Hybrid Coil Tubing Drilling Rig in Australia. I moved up the ranks to Driller spending nearly a year in each position and started Drilling on that same rig in July 2013. I obtained my IWCF On Shore Surface BOP Stack Drillers Certificate. I resigned from Savanna in April 2014 for personnel reasons.

I started my Oil Field career with MB Century as a Leasehand on their Triple Top Drive Rig 18. I spent a few hitches there a before it was stacked and then I went to one of their Double Kelly rigs and worked my way up to Motorhand.
