As of August 2021, I took a procurement buyer position for Talos Engineered Products. I am responsible for sourcing integral components for USPS/Fedex/UPS sort centers in the parcel world. I work closely with suppliers to better understand the supply chain for component shortages and constantly negotiate pricing and yearly contracts with them. I often travel to parcel and baggage handling exhibits to better understand my parts and how we can improve our conveyor systems for our customers.I have over 10 years of experience working in Manufacturing. Currently, I was the Buyer for Frito Lay, Inc where I was responsible for all parts ordering. I also controlled all the cost accounts to prevent budget overspend. I worked closely with the Performance Manager to control all the spend for services and ensure all invoices are paid on time. Previously, I was the Production Coordinator. In that role, I was responsible for all the financial and accountability reporting. I was also responsible for inventorying all goods and generating orders to ensure we never ran out of anything. My first role at Frito Lay was as a Packaging Machine Operator. I ran the bag makers and made sure we put out quality product to the consumer.
