Levenson, Ph.D.• Research Focus: 1) Socio-emotional functioning in neurodegenerative disease patients and caregivers and associations with close relationships, mental health, and well-being. 2) Relationship satisfaction and emotional functioning across the lifespan of healthy long-term married couples.• Research Tasks: Coded shared positive affect and behavioral synchrony during a conversation surrounding an area of conflict for 180+ pairs of dementia patients and caregivers; confirmed the contact and mortality information of 70+ long-term married couples for an extension of a longitudinal study; and audited lab materials for 540+ dementia patient and caregiver pairs.• Data Experience: Recorded, tracked, and cleaned survey responses across 5 timepoints through Qualtrics and R for a longitudinal study of 400+ participants; oversaw the creation and organization of 19 datasets of 400+ variables through Qualtrics and SPSS; and co-created data analysis plans, conducted reliability analyses and merged and scored data through R and SPSS for 2 text analysis projects. • Management Experience: Co-led a team of 5 research assistants in a text analysis project on pronoun usage in 440+ conversation transcripts across 3 participant cohorts; spearheaded the reorganization of data collection and live-session surveys, served as a participant contact, and communicated with study collaborators for a remote emotion assessment study; helped interview 9 volunteer research assistants and 3 candidates for a full-time lab opening; and taught and supervised a team of 9 research assistants in an SPSS data organization project involving 3 cohorts of participant data collected across 20 years.
