•Coordinate training, projects, work flow, staff scheduling and day to day operations of the academic advising department, staff and manage and supervise 8-12 Peer Assistants and workstudy students•Train newly hired advisors, Peer Assistants and workstudy students and facilitate 1-2 week training sessions•Coordinate the maintenance of the online advisor and student assistant training tools•Act as the liaison between academic advising and all other departments on 3 CCC campuses, serving on multiple campus committees and task forces•Write and maintain academic advising and academic standing policies and procedures•Plan, design and present educational/career/job search training programs and workshops•Prepare and perform assessments of department performance and availability/quality of resources•Develop and deliver public presentations for college, industry and community •Organize, plan and facilitate online and face to face New Student Advising and New Student Experience sessions•Supervise, track and support students on academic suspension and probationary reinstatement•Act as primary financial aid advisor/liaison

•Process and verify financial aid applications chosen for verification by the federal processing center•Regularly maintain and develop a broad base of knowledge relevant to college and Federal financial aid guidelines, policies and procedures, verification process, and student requirements and eligibility guidelines•Advise students, prospective students and parents concerning financial aid programs, forms and regulations, including explaining policy and procedures and answering phone calls, email and assisting students at the front counter•Facilitate general financial aid workshops for students at the college, district high schools and/or in the community•Process all agency housing request for students•Data entry and compiling student files, update loan lending agencies with update student contact information

•Served as an Academic and Personal counselor to 50-75 students participating in the TRIO Student Support Services program•Coordinated tutoring program for all student in the SSS program (150-175 students). Also recruited and trained student tutors from all departments on campus •Facilitate and coordinate workshops for students on academic success, financial aid, diversity awareness, student involvement and any other necessary topics•Assist student with information on both the full range of student financial aid programs, benefits and resources for locating public and private scholarships

•Facilitate cognitive pro-social skill building program for incarcerated individuals in men and womens institutions within the Oregon Department of Corrections•Primary substitute facilitator for the Salem/Wilsonville/Portland correctional institutions •Facilitate classes for LIFT, THINK and Pathfiners programs

-Planned and organized campus events, workshops, volunteer opportunities, guest speakers and other events concerning diversity and multicultural issues for the CSU Sacramento campus.-Act as liaison for Multicultural Center when working with campus departments, committees, task forces and student cultural organizations-Began to develop a diversity education and training program for college departments, classes, housing and student organizations.-Acted as student organization advisor for multicultural student organizations.-Manage and supervise 10-12 workstudy students and graduate assistants-Acted as office manager performing regular job duties including managing budgets for both centers in the amount of $100,000+; supervised student worker staff of 10; handled contracts and traveling arrangement for guest speakers, groups and entertainers as well as staff members; perform other duties as given by supervisor.
