Some of my passions, specifically in the Social Services, is helping kids and children who are struggling with mental health and wellbeing, or just overall life stressors. I have worked professionally with kids my whole life, and I am looking forward to helping more in my future.Some strategies I have learned a lot about include how to connect with people in a 1-on-1 setting. Through using non-verbal cues, encouragers, and overall communication, I have learned how to communicate with people better and connect on a deeper level. This has helped me in not only my placements, but also my personal and professional life.My philosophy of Social Service Work is that everybody is human. No matter where they are in life, those in different circumstances than ourselves are still human and deserve the same respect as everybody else.
