If you've never heard of the Environmental and Wildlife Management (EWM) program at Vanier College, it is a 3 year technical program meant to train students to be environmental technologists.As an environmental technician at Groupe C. Laganiere (GCL), I learned how to sample air, water, and soil for treatment and environmental monitoring purposes. I learned out ex situ soil bioremediation was done without chemicals. I sometimes went on sites to do phase 2 and 3 assessments.As a customer service representative at ERE Inc., I learned about equipment used by many environmental agencies. I learned how and when to use, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot all the equipment I sold and can answer most questions my clients had for me.
