I am a public policy and strategic communications professional with experience working in provincial government and in public and government relations consulting. I have spent time working in the offices of the Ontario Minister of Education, and Minister of Children, Community, and Social Services as a communications advisor. While in government, I managed communications for the education capital priorities file and worked on the province’s human trafficking strategy and autism program. My experience is in managing large communications strategies and stakeholder relations. In December 2022 I graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan where I undertook research that brought together government officials and frontline workers to design solutions on youth unemployment. My most impactful experience outside of work has been facilitating a support group for youth and young adults experiencing mental health challenges with the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario. This experience has given me the privilege to hear first-hand the challenges young people face navigating the mental health system and create an environment for others to be heard and encourage one another.
