• Runs day-to-day operations of the Maritime Museum, including working all internal and external events, and supervising the Operations Coordinator, Museum Assistants, Store Staff and Facility Assistants. • Acts as a liaison for clients, catering companies, and other vendors using the Museum facilities, and is the point of contact for all physical facility issues. • Oversees all on-site personnel, scheduling, and acts as the lead Manager on Duty and Cash Handling Supervisor. • Other duties include overseeing and implementing special events, revenue generating experiences, creating, and maintaining operational procedures, training staff members, working on the museum floor. • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the SBMM Museum Store/ Gift Shop. This includes ordering and displaying merchandise, proper pricing and tagging of merchandise, tracking inventory, hiring, training, and scheduling all store staff, promoting SBMM membership, admissions, and events, and building store sales.

• Develop ways in which objects, archives and artworks can be interpreted, through exhibitions, publications, events and audio-visual presentations Care for, manage, catalogue, store, and maintain the permanent collection and its database.• Oversee the growth and intake of new collection items belonging to CIMM• Strategic oversight of exhibit and program development and interfacing• Oversee fabrication, and install exhibit experiences and signage• Provide exhibit, events, and program marketing content for the museum website• Write and produce press releases and other marketing support for exhibits, events, and programs • Manage museum interns related to exhibits, marketing, the collection, and program activities• Represent the museum exhibits and collections interests in the community and at conferences

• Leads museum staff and volunteers to meet the mission, vision and educational goals• Advances strategic plan• Oversea museum fundraising and donor recognition. Cultivates corporate and individual donors.• Engages and motivates board members to implement fundraising strategies• Overseas museum budgets, supervises the preparation of timely financial reports, ensures adherence to best business practices and compliance with all state and federal regulatory codes and laws.• Collaborates with local leaders and the community at large to build a passion for the museum and its programs.• Ensures that the museum marketing is timely, compelling, and that the museum leverages social media platforms.
