After gaining more than a decade of experience as an Account Supervisor for a leading public relations agency, I am now putting those skills and contacts to work for metro Detroit clients. I work with businesses across a broad range of industries, including non-profit clients; b-to-b clients in the mortgage industry; arts, entertainment; law, pharmaceutical and even figure skating events. Working with a diverse client base, I strive to provide strategies and expertise that are tailored to the client. From media relations and marketing communications, to social media content, event sponsorship, graphic design coordination and top-notch proofreading, I have a wide range of experience to meet each client's needs.

I founded and owned the competitive synchronized skating teams of Team du Coeur (LC3), representing the Lakeland Skating Club. At its peak, the program had 75+ skaters enrolled on six different team levels. From management and finances/budgeting and billing, to communications, coaching and education, I ran the $100,000+ organization for nearly 20 years. The teams were the 2010 Midwestern Champions in two divisions.

This agency was a great introduction to the world of b-to-b public relations, with clients in the hotel industry, cable industry and more. Additional retail and business service clients rounded out the experience, setting the groundwork for freelance business referrals from this employer.

Clients at MLC included The Kroger Co. of Michigan; Buddy's Pizza; Arts, Beats & Eats; Variety, The Children's Charity; TeleCheck of Michigan; Wayne State University; private Realtors and law clients; restaurants; epiphany glass studio and many more over a span of more than a decade of agency work.

I began as a college marketing intern, moved into the Assistant PR Director and finally landed as Marketing and PR Director for the company. Here I gained invaluable experience in event sponsorship and marketing, public relations, publicity, graphic design, management and of course, special events and mascots! As part of a small, year-round staff, I was able to learn and contribute to all aspects of this for-profit business. (And yes, I was occasionally referred to as a "wench," which IS a term of endearment!)
