My name is Heather Bowers and I currently reside near the Cleveland, Ohio area with my husband, two dogs, and six ducks. I was raised on a small farm in Michigan and never dreamed I'd have the honor and privilege of working for some of the best airlines in the world with the most wonderful colleagues. I have several years of experience in the airline industry and I'm best known for the following skills:Organizational Development, Strategic Planning & Execution, Pilot Recruiting & Hiring, Creating Mentor Programs, and Event Planning. I have worked with Human Resource, Flight Operations, and Diversity & Inclusion teams at the airlines to incrementally grow and diversify the pilot population in the United States to ensure that they have a long-term quality supply of diverse pilots. Due to the pilot shortage our industry has been facing over the past several years, it has taken numerous creative approaches to reach this goal and measure success along the way. Many of my strategies and ideas have been accepted by the airlines and have become industry standards. After many adventures with the airlines, I decided to start my own company and move back to Ohio to be closer to family. I founded Aviator Mentor LLC in 2019 and currently mentor and coach current and prospective airline pilots through their careers. I also offer interview preparation and resume services to aviation professionals and consultation services to airlines in the United States. Although much of my expertise lies within the aviation industry, many of my skills are transferrable and I'd be happy to work with other industries looking for assistance with strategic planning, recruiting, diversity & inclusion, or organizational development.
