I am a Registered Nurse at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation center. There is no greater feeling than knowing you have the skills and ability to not only make a physical difference but also an emotional difference in someone’s life. I am most definitely a type A personality and being a nurse has enhanced that trait by 10. (haha). I am goal oriented and believe in hard work being the only way to Success. I try to live by the motto "Only you can choose the direction of which you set your sails." Life is tough and its easy as a human to pity ourselves but as a nurse, I am reminded every day how fortunate I am, no matter what is going on; there are patients I see on a daily basis that would give anything to walk again, or rid their bodies of terminal illnesses, or something as simple as seeing their families. I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience working throughout the building on both the long term and rehabilitation side of Liberty Commons as a CNA, LPN, RN shift Lead and now The RN unit manager. Providing exceptional care to patients is only done through teamwork and communication, I value each employee that I work with including CNA (who are GOD SENT) even house keeping, because Lord knows some of the stuff they encounter!!My Work Motto------> " You are only as strong as your weakest link, each position in the healthcare field is of equal importance, with out one, the other could not function effectively, and ultimately the Patient is the one who suffers." After I finish my Associates degree, I have goals to further my education at UNC Chapel Hill, applying and praying to get into the RN to Masters Program with Focus on Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner. Ultimately I want to work with Pediatrics with Cancer at a highly repeatable facility like, UNC Chapel Hill Children's Cancer Center.
Listed skills include Healthcare, Nursing, Medication Administration, Customer Service, and 32 others.
