This role was very much a hybrid of operations and system management for the Division of Research, Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). With research growing quickly each year I formed the system team structure; developing a team of high achieving individuals who produced high-visibility regulatory reporting along with providing troubleshooting, system support, debugging, system maintenance, and internal business analysis across the campus for sponsored activities. As the manager of the team I also participated in collaborative strategic IT decisions across the University, project management, and played a key implementation or supporting role on several cross-functional projects to achieve University objectives. I lead functional and technical aspects of several critical projects in my 3+ years including a system-wide ERP Enhancement project to increase efficiency and improve accuracy across the division of finance, the campus community and the division of research; finalized the implementation of Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) including requirement gathering, conversion, process updates, documentation, testing, setup and training; and a rebuild of the Encumbrance and Budgetary Control modules in Oracle Cloud alongside Oracle Development, the Operations Manager, and the Division of Finance. I also spearheaded system improvement projects, one of which included automation of contract billing and revenue recognition for all sponsored activities. The breath of supported systems ranged from proposal development, approval, award acceptance, cost and budget maintenance, billing, revenue recognition, award closeout, internal analytics and regulatory reporting. The financial applications supported include procurement, budgetary control, payables, receivables, general ledger, assets, project costing, grants management, reporting, and contracts. I additionally supported the on-premise InfoEd application and a variety of other solutions across OSP.

During my 8+ years with Impac Services I engaged in over 35 financial projects ranging from end-to-end ERP implementations to post go-live support. Starting as a staff consultant and moving to a Senior position, I advanced quickly with expanding autonomy and leadership roles, later leading large-scale projects as the single financial consultant.I worked cross functionally and assessed business functions, mapped processes, gathered requirements across all applications, wrote all technical and functional documentation including training material, implemented system design and process changes, wrote reports, conducted testing, finalized troubleshooting to resolution, trained multiple levels of staff, identified and implemented process improvement, championed change management, lead or supported project management, and worked directly with senior and VP management to tune efficiency across the full ERP system. I have worked directly on implementing the full stack of Oracle financial applications for on-premise and cloud solutions including overall Oracle architecture, procure-to-pay, assets, general ledger, subledger accounting, tax, revenue recognition, planning and budgeting (PBCS), reporting (OTBI and OAAC), billing and accounts receivable. I have directly supported accounting regulations for several international (IFRS), government (STARS), US and Canadian (GAAP) companies and ensured compliance across the board for all financial activities including SOX, financial reporting and tax regulations. Lastly, I hold my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting along with the Oracle E-Business Suite Receivables Implementation Certification and the Oracle Financials Cloud: Receivable Implementation Specialist Certification which served me well in this role and helped me to accurately translate requirements as a "Functional/Technical" resource.

I maintained accounting responsibilities such as transaction entry, reconciling accounts and month end close. I participated in quality assurance, reporting, and as a key project team member for our ERP implementation. Additionally I presented metrics for executive leadership, and led a shipping software implementation.
