I operate an embroidery machine (Barudan). Which includes downloading files onto a USB flash drive, loading the file onto the machine, setting the correct thread color sequence, and proper placement on the item to be embroidered. I hoop products to be embroidered (hats and flats). Following detailed instructions. I inspection and trim finished products. Boxing, weighing, and shipping items if they require. I also operate a heat press, putting transfers on shirts. I have trained new hires to operate both machines. We outsource the digitizing of logos so I am in charge of sending off the logo and ensuring a quality logo for the customer.

When an ad set would drop I was in charge of signing a department with the new ad set. I would set typicals and plan a grams. After the truck made its delivery there would be racks of new merchandise that I would need to be put on the floor immediately, making sure it fit in with the plan of the department. Bring stock out from the warehouse to fill depleted racks/tables. I would use a hand held device to make mark downs, sort and price point clearance racks. If items were out of stock I would scan barcodes with a hand head device. I would assist on a cash register if the store was busy. I would help resolve minor customer issues.

I was a backup operator of a machine that dumped and sealed dog treats. I would fix minor problems with the machine. I would inspected and pack bags/boxes of dog treats. I would assist with clean outs when switching to a new product. This position included cleaning the work space area and recycling cardboard in a compactor.

Leggett and Platt offered a program through the Carthage High School. Throughout the duration of the program I learned how to run a mill, lathe, to use a mig welder, grinders, sand blasting, some electrical wiring, and shipping. It was hands on real world experience in the work force as a young teen. (The program started when I was 15 years old and completed after graduating high school.)
