As Global Head of Finance, I built the finance team and systems to support the brand’s ambitions of expanding worldwide operations. As Atcore’s first Group FC, my remit included preparing the finance function for the next transaction, as well as group finance operations. Managing a team of five, I oversaw:• Development of the FP&A function to provide the board with reliable and prompt reporting and analysis. This included the implementation of a new budgeting/forecasting/consolidation software tool and introduction of staff utilisation and customer profitability metrics• Finance systems and processes – designed roadmap for future additions, replacements and improvements • Finance operations, including monthly management accounts, credit control, accounts payable, payroll etc • Statutory reporting, internal controls, and tax compliance, including leading the adoption of IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers

As the head of finance in EMEA, I supported local operational management and group finance. Managing a team of three, my remit covered:• Full ownership of cash flow management for the region• Financial and reporting support to local operational and marketing functions• Oversight and review of monthly financials, maintaining integrity of accounting practices, systems and records• Oversight of all back-office functions, including payroll and credit control• Delivery of the annual accounts, including management of the annual audits and tax returns• Relationships with external advisors (bank, auditors, etc)During my first year at Diligent, I rebuilt the EMEA finance function as the first Financial Controller for the EMEA region:• Introduced working capital discipline through aggressively decreasing debtor days from 210 to 60 and implementing supplier payment routines• Built out team with two new experienced hires, and encouraged part-qualified staff to pursue formal qualification. Established team member professional development through fortnightly one-to-one sessions and goal setting.• Introduced a monthly reporting cycle, including balance sheet reconciliations focusing on risk areas.• Established payroll in five countries throughout the EMEA region, each according to local regulations and giving consideration to tax implications for Diligent
