Police Community Support Officer
CurrentWorking within the community and engaging with multi agencies is the main focus of a Community Officer. Part of the role is to gather evidence and attach it to crimes so an officer can investigate and take the evidence to court if needed. Visiting local schools and give training and advice to teachers in regards to training packs as well as delivering lessons to pupils around subjects like County Lines/stranger danger/ fireworks safety and many other subjects.Gather knowledge and intelligence on local issues/ suspects and maintaining a relationship with the local community and nominals.As we are at the forefront we are First Aid trained and I have had to use these skills on several occasions just recently.
