Currently children's safeguarding officer overseeing Key Stage 3. My day to day role includes initiating CAF's (common assessment framework) maintaining & managing TAC (team around the child) meetings and being sole point of contact for students who are in the child protection arenas and child in need plans.Extensively experienced in placing referrals to outside agencies such as School health, CAMHs/HYM (child and adolescent mental health services/ healthy young minds) , early break, sunrise team (Rochdale's CSE- child sexual exploitation prevention team), Bernardo's & the youth afending team.I'm the designated teacher for LAC (looked after child) students working closely with the student, social worker & carers in the PEP (personal education plan) process using Pupil Premium Plus to ensure all barriers to learning are removed. I am also active in the LAC review process and care planning.The safeguarding part of my role sees me maintaining a large database and individual chronologies right from initial concersns, using Rochdale's framework of need to produce multi agency assessment referrals. This part of my role requires me to attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings and core conferences.Other aspects of my current role includes conducting home visits, hosting CAF/TAC meetings in appropriate venues outside of school, liaison with other education providers in the local area and attending parole panel meetings. During the school day I works closely with the senior leadership on behaviour, spending time 'on call' responding to emergency situations throughout the school and also spending time in the schools isolation unit.

    Currently lead development officer for the Midleton Locality. Specialising in supporting colleagues develop robust holistic support packages for for families who are in need of support at the 'early help level' of the children's needs and response framework.
