Over 10 years experience as a bookseller, 20 years as an editor, including stints as a senior editor at Tor/Macmillan, an editorial director at Samhain Publishing, and several years as a freelance editor and author services provider. Have helped to plan and produce conference workshops, publisher parties, and promotional merchandise to promote various authors and book lines. Participated in publishing panels as an editor, as well as leading individual workshops on the craft of writing for various writing groups around the country. My professional publishing and book industry experience combined with my MLIS degree make me an optimal candidate for any public library position, particularly those dealing with community outreach and programming.
