Assist four physicians with daily tasks of making appointments for patients, calling in and inputting prescriptions, taking messages for the physicians and relaying information back to patients. Answering eight phone lines and sending faxes in a very busy office setting. Scheduling patient referrals. Completing patient precertifications for testing and medications.I also take minutes at our meetings for my supervisor, compile data for multiple reports and input vaccines for my facility. I participate in many committees including Patient Portal, am the Pod Leader for our pod and assist in doing Peer Interviews for new employees.

In the 10 years in this position, I worked with Excel, Power Point and Word on a daily basis. I helped keep statistics and track data for patient reports and doctor percentages and information. I also collaberated CME credits and correspondence for physician meetings each month. I attended and kept minutes at monthly meetings. I greeted and assisted patients as they came into our department. I performed record retrieval and authorization management for our department. Maintaining HIPAA and confidentiality was always priority.I helped maintain and organize many projects and procedure protocol for my director. I assisted with preparing for and producing records and paperwork for many audits and surveys our facility overwent.

I handle release of Information requests ranging from attorney cases, disability, insurance claims and transfer of care. I'm able to do this part time from home which makes it very convenient with my already busy schedule.
