I grew up on a farm learning all about the farm lifestyle. Learning what hard work looks like and the saying "circle before you land" comes from. Throughout my childhood I was encouraged to create something out of anything. I grew up surrounded by a very creative family, they were the ones who pushed me to keep working and improving my artistic skills. Which steered me in my decision to further my education, by taking the Visual Arts Diploma program offered at the local college Red Deer College. I never graduated from that program but I did learn a lot and it has given the urge to go back to school and receive a Business Diploma or Degree and finish the Visual Arts Diploma. But until I am able to afford that, I decided to start my own business of sorts; The Crafty Peasant. I created a free business page on Facebook and I am currently in the process of creating my own website and an Etsy page. Doing this will hopefully increase sales.My passions are Art and Farming; the plan is to convert the family farm to a farmers market type farm offering anything from a carrot to rabbit meat. My husband and I would travel around to farmers markets selling our labours and our creations.
