Agency management of an assigned territory (recruiting, training, and supervising agents or sales representatives) including agency relationship and portfolio management, field underwriting, and collaboration with the commercial, personal, and renewal underwriters.  Develop, manage, and execute the territory marketing plan.  Travel to assigned agents and/or as needed.  Business planning and budgeting.  Meeting growth, profit, new business and loss objectives.  Line underwriting:  Knowledge of commercial, personal and agricultural underwriting guides is necessary to provide technical support, assuring that Company policies and standards are being adhered to).  Proper underwriting documentation to support risk selection, coverage and pricing recommendations or decisions.  Meeting producer and policyholder service standards.  Assist in the training and development of new personnel and identifying additional developmental needs of existing personnel.  Leadership skills.
