-Teaches students English who have a variety of Social/Emotional Disabilities in a substantially separate classroom environment in 4 different curriculum levels. -Collaborates with a variety of Special Educators, Specialists, and Counselors to address the ongoing needs of program population.-Reflects on teaching practices to improve performance.-Chairs Special Education meetings as related to case management.-Writes Special Education forms as needed for case management load.-Builds therapeutic program culture to reflect mission statement: creating an inclusive, safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for students who have struggled within the larger high school community so that they can thrive holistically: academically, socially, and emotionally.-Monitors students in need of behavioral support-Implement and adjust behavioral systems to match student needs-Develops individualized behavior support plans focusing on incentives and progress-Increase knowledge on restorative practices-Creates and instructs with universal design lessons-Utilizes culturally responsive instruction

-Coordinates Special Education program in high school, including but not limited to, student placement, service delivery, instructional materials, data collection and progress monitoring-Assists Director of Student Services with scheduling students and staff-Provides direct services to Special Education students-Coordinates MCAS accommodations for Special Education students-Assists the Director of Student Services with all Special Education program review and monitoring requirements, including but not limited to CPR-Assists the Director of Student Services with transition planning for Special Education students.-Assists in developing quality integrative and inclusive programs for Special Education students.-Supports teachers with co-teaching in high school.-Assists in developing quality integrative and inclusive programs for special education students.-Models effective instructional practices for special education students and assist teachers in their efforts to provide input in lesson planning, accommodate materials, and support a range of learners.-Facilitates regular staff meetings to monitor and analyze Special Education student progress and develop supports-Works closely with families to increase engagement in their child’s school experience-Assists Director of Student Services in organizing SEPAC-Maintains strong and responsive communication with staff, students, and families involved in Special Education program-Assists the Director of Student Services in budgetary planning-Attends disciplinary, student support, and department head meetings as necessary

-Teaches students specific skills in the areas of reading, writing, and mathematics to address IEP goals and objectives in a small classroom setting. -Co-teaches high school students in History and English content areas and shares the responsibilities of planning, differentiating, assessing, and grading curriculum. -Adheres to Common Core curriculum in planning lessons. -Administers Achievement Evaluations and drafts Achievement Evaluation reports for IEP initial and three-year evaluations.-Drafts Initial, Annual, and 3 year IEPS and any corresponding forms for all students on caseload. Attends and collaborates in Team meetings for all students on caseload.-Progress monitors all IEP goals and objectives for all students on caseload by communicating with content area teachers and collecting direct observation. -Writes progress reports based on progress monitoring for all students on caseload. Contributes to leadership in Department Head meetings by representing the Special Education Department -Advises K-12 Yearbook-Founding Member of Co-Teaching Initiative to expand faculty & staff knowledge on effective co-teaching instruction.

-Teaching Assistant and Behavior Therapist for various Special Education programs designed to meet needs of students diagnosed with executive functioning, social pragmatic, social and emotional, and academic deficits. -Case manager -Created and implemented data management system to increase tracking of progress monitoring for student's IEP goals and objective.

-Provides direct patient care through group and individual counseling in accordance with Dialectic Behavior techniques. -Leader and co-leader of patient therapeutic groups to build patients’ coping strategies.-Coach patients in crisis situations by providing Dialectic Behavior Therapy techniques and guiding patients through these skills.

-Supervisor and coach to staff on May Center policies and procedures, including Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques, to ensure accurate and consistent implementation of treatment procedures.-Assist in appropriate development of IEPs specific for students diagnosed with autism containing long and short-term objectives for all major skill areas.-Case management responsibilities for reporting growth and needs to student’s families, while also ensuring staff complete their case manager responsibilities.-Creates and implements staff schedules to provide students with appropriate supervision, safety, and overall well-being.

-Supervised and led 12 at-risk youth from ages 12-17, court-appointed and voluntary.-Mentored and counseled 24 hours/5 days a week in a rustic outdoor environment.-Ensured growth of individuals by planning and overseeing education, life skills, and community field trips. -Encouraged youth to discover coping skills and accept responsibility for problematic emotional behavioral disabilities.-Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), CPR, and Basic First Aid certified.
