As Associate Vice President of Faculty Affairs, I oversee Faculty and Leadership Development, including programing to encourage recruitment, orientation, retention, recognition and career success for faculty at all all stages, tracks, and ranks in alignment with the climate and excellence goals at Texas A&M University. This includes oversight of 1) the institutionalized ADVANCE programming; 2) faculty development leave; 3) internal faculty awards and 4) the Transformational Teaching and Learning Conference to showcase faculty recognized for teaching excellence and to inspire teaching excellence at Texas A&M.As a faculty member in the Department of Plant Pathology and Microbiology, home of the Bioenvironmental Sciences (BESC) Program. I serve as faculty liaison to the Bioenvironmental Sciences Professional Board.
