With over two decades at Wittenberg University, our academic program has been shaped by my tenure as an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Women’s Studies, culminating in my current grant award directing a U.S. Department of Education Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad program to Poland, “Exploring the tension between democratic pluralism and nationalistic exclusion of the ‘other.’” Leveraging skills in higher education, university teaching, undergraduate advising and mentoring, and curricular innovation, I work to help shape student lives and future leaders committed to public service and working toward the common good. My personal mission is to cultivate inclusive and innovative educational environments, where diverse perspectives thrive, as essential to fostering democratic citizenship in an egalitarian society.
