With over 17 years of experience in teaching and curriculum development, I am a passionate educator who strives to create inclusive, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences for diverse learners. As a founding teacher at Weekday School, I was part of a team that launched a new program that fosters social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children grades Prek-5. I also hold a Master of Education and Reading Specialist certification, which enable me to design and deliver effective literacy instruction and assessment for students with various needs and abilities. I also hold a Supervisory certification. Prior to joining Weekday School, I was an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey, where I taught courses on multicultural social studies instruction for students with disabilities and children's literature for graduate and undergraduate students. I also have 12 years of experience as a special education teacher at Parsippany Troy Hills, where I taught English/Language Arts and Science in various settings, and contributed to the development and implementation of district-wide Language Arts curriculum. Additionally, I served as a co-chair for the school professional development committee, and analyzed school-wide standardized test results to identify areas of improvement. Prior to Parsippany, I created and developed the school’s first resource program at The American School of Milan, in order to help support students with a wide range of needs. Throughout my career, I have honed my skills in staff development, teaching, and special education, and I am eager to apply them in new and challenging contexts.
