Taking over the OCCRA Great Pumpkin Drive and turning it into a non-profit that feeds rescue animals and works to eliminate food waste in the Portland Metro area.

I create tools that help people ask for the supports they need and advocate for themselves. I help with special education and ADA advocacy for clients who need support, and bring experience as an Autistic and ADHD woman. I have years of experience working in education with neurodivergent kids, and navigating education and work for myself that I leverage to help others get the support they need to succeed.

I create educational content and recipes for kidney patients and their care team with my mother who is a home-dialysis kidney patient.

I have written a book that is in the editing stage, and produce/write/direct/film/edit for my YouTube and TikTok channels. I also run live-streams on Twitch regularly and run a few Discord servers. My blog is live at www.heatherricks.com

I created several books for social stories that were audio/visual prompts for students. I worked one on one with multiple students to achieve goals for social emotional learning and to reduce elopement from class, and saw 50%+ improvements with each once tools were implemented. I also supported the Special Education Teacher with any other needs they had.

I worked with residents to make sure their time at the complex was the best possible experience. I handled A/R, leasing, and liaised with our maintenance team about resident and common area work. I did AR/AP in Quickbooks, invoicing in Quickbooks, tracked past due accounts, and did payroll through ADP. I also did daily cash counts and deposits for the front of house, and deposited and tracked checks from our wholesale customers. I ran monthly reports for financials of sales and receivables. I oversaw production with the office assistant and made sure orders were communicated properly between the customers and the kitchen. I was the liaison for the social media company we worked with to get them items for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. I created eBlasts in MailChimp and did the front page HTML coding for our specials on www.sarabeth.com I was the point person for a Google Ads campaign that saw a 30% increase in sales over the holiday season and created an increase in production to meet the need.I was the hiring manager for the office, as well as HR for the front and back of house, office, and transportation. I was responsible for all new job listings and vetting resumes. I trained new hires in daily duties for the office and created manuals for tasks not already included in them, updating old versions as well. I purchased all inventory for the office and some for the front and back of house.I worked several trade shows helping set up our booths, selling products, and serving/plating dishes. These include: The Fancy Food Show in San Francisco, the NYT Taste of T, The James Beard Awards, and several local street shows that Sarabeth's was invited to donate to for charity.

I was in charge of new hire paperwork, and general operation of the facility. I ordered all the items needed for creatives, worked with IT to make sure they had a station assigned, and explained procedures to them on their first day. I made sure the office opened on time and that it was in good condition from the previous day, so that we were ready to receive new clients. I liaised with my counterpart in the LA office and the accounting department (based out of LA) for interoffice needs and did tracking for expense reports for 4 producers as well as the office. I also did travel planning and created itineraries for everyone on staff in the office.I planned client office spreads and parties, as well as office parties within budget and on the specified date. The biggest challenge was being able to create unique NYC experiences with open bars and entertainment for a small budget, and I always got feedback that I had met that brief.

This was a temporary assignment. I collected information on various types of products, then wrote up the copy for the online outlet selling them. Each product needed specs and a description, we were not provided with products and had to use research skills to find answers online.

My position at the S.I. Newhouse school of SU had several parts to it.I worked in the Edit Suites helping students with ProTools, Avid, Final Cut Pro, LiveType and After Effects. I learned all of these programs well by helping others troubleshoot the errors they were receiving. We never lost a project or any work!I also worked for OTN (The Orange Television Network) as an editor on Avid. I worked on several shows that later aired on OTN doing mostly video editing and application of effects (exs. a newsroom graphic placed over greenscreen, lower thirds, sparkles at a certain point in a show.)I also worked in the Cage (where Television/Radio/Film and other programs rent equipment) where I repaired cameras, tripods, lights, and anything else that broke. I was one of two students helping in this department instead of helping with rentals, thought I did also help with rentals.

I did marketing for all of the Campus Life events. I kept the school bulletin boards clean, planned some campus events, and did light office work. I was in this position my senior year.I also worked at the circulation desk at our on-campus library which included shelving books, checking out and returns for customers, re-binding books, and sorting the shelves for books to be pulled either for sale or for a request. I was in this position for 3 years.My third on-campus job was as a biology teaching assistant and tutor. I worked with the 101/102 classes for 2 years.

I was a production intern at twentyonehundred Productions. While there I made two documentary style videos edited with Avid that had about a minute total run time each. I also helped script a project that ended up as a great typography piece after my internship.I helped with the new staff orientation creating the stage, running sound, and generally helping where I was needed.
