Development and maintenance of the clinical pharmacy and medication content for information systems. My role has focused specifically on the areas of oncology and infusion services and requires special expertise in chemotherapy, biologicals, and monoclonal antibodies. Responsible for optimizing the medication use process from ordering to administration and overseeing clinical decision support and rules and alerts for these clinical service lines. Other duties include focus on understanding treatment guidelines and algorithms, understanding and implementing clinical workflows and processes.

Oversaw and managed all aspects of pharmacy services in the infusion clinic. Responsibilities included clinical components such as reviewing medication orders, making clinical interventions, and providing patient education. Managing operations included supervising a pharmacist and three technicians, responsibility for a $500,000 per month inventory, collaborating with the infusion manager, and overseeing a patient assistant program for medication costs. This role required expertise with a variety of biological and specialty medications including chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, antibiotics, iron infusions, and intravenous immune globulin.
