In each role at Jay Peak Resort, I strategically positioned the resort as a premier year-round destination for group events, specializing in conference and wedding segments. This encompassed booking and orchestrating diverse events for groups ranging from 20 to over 800 attendees. Leveraging Jay Peak's renowned facilities such as the mountain terrain, conference center, banquet halls, restaurants, spa, ice rink, and golf course, I crafted uniquely tailored and memorable experiences for each client.Over the course of my time, I successfully managed and directed more than 500 large group events, spanning symposiums, tradeshows, catered affairs, entertainment, lodging, and ground transportation. In this leadership role, I took charge of recruiting, training, and mentoring a team of event coordinators, offering valuable industry exposure to a group of young professionals.

As the director, I played a pivotal part in shaping the continuing education program tailored for entrepreneurs specializing in specialty food craft, sustainable agriculture, rural arts, community building, and more. This comprehensive initiative focused on imparting specific skills alongside incubator and small business development strategies.My responsibilities included collaborating with faculty members to develop curriculum for intensive experiential workshops and ensuring a rich learning experience for participants. Working closely with the internal marketing team and local partners, I effectively promoted program workshops. My role extended to creating and managing the departmental budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and resource optimization. Additionally, I designed enterprise-level budgets for each workshop, implementing profitable pricing strategies.I took charge of facilities, overseeing the inventory for event spaces, classrooms, and seasonal lodging facilities. Furthermore, I led the recruitment, training, and mentorship of a student-based team that coordinated all logistical aspects of special events, workshops, transportation, and lodging, ensuring their seamless execution.
