When I became a Montessori teacher I didn't just begin a profession, I found a passion. Since that time my commitment to ensuring the best for children has increased exponentially. I am learning and practicing the amazing Montessori philosophy, while simultaneously working with traditional teachers and schools in the public sector to decrease emphasis on standardized testing. In the years to come, I hope to see our country's education system transform into one that keeps the education and respect of the whole child at its center, while greatly limiting high-stakes testing.
