Responsible for the development and maintenance of the annual operating budget for Lexington County Health Services District, which includes a 414 bed hospital, six community medical centers/urgent care facilities, over 50 physician practices and an occupational health facility. Develop curriculum and provide training for managers, directors and senior management in regards to monthly operating reports, FTEs, and capital budget. Oversee the accounting side of the hiring process to ensure that our more than 5,000 employees stay within budget while meeting the needs of the hospital. Guide and direct staff to analyze detailed accounting reports relating actual revenue/expenses to budget. Review and monitor reconciliation of statistics in the general ledger to other software systems. Review journal entries and account analysis. Assist in closing the books out monthly/annually and assist with questions from external auditors. Maintain monthly reporting system used by directors and managers. Act as a resource to CFO, COO, VPs and operating directors in interpreting operational budget reports and designing new management reports.

Provide corporate planning and strategic support to Executive Branch of BCBSSC. Analyze goals for realizing growth and development. Gather business intelligence on specific industry trends, mainly following the Senate Finance and HELP Committee's health reform proposals, for potential opportunities and risk.

Prepare and monitor departmental budgets and budget related reports, including mid-year and year-end reports. Develop and implement department-wide strategic operating plans and communication plans across divisions. Act as the liaison from Finance to the City Managers office, Human Resources and Budget. Prepare the Letter of Transmittal for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the City of Charlotte.

Monitor agency expenditures, program operations, and capital projects. Analyze agency hires and program hiring plans. Identify potential risks, savings and efficiencies within programs areas by monitoring performance indicators. Responsibilities include overseeing a personnel budget of $426M annually, an expense budget of $72M annually, and a capital budget of $92M annually.

Conducted research to develop, implement and analyze data from surveys of stakeholders of the Georgia Department of Transportation in order to complete a 360 degree evaluation of the department.

Taught customer service and corporate policies to new restaurant staff. Filled in as needed for Assistant Managers within the restaurant in both the front and back of the house.
