As the Director of a newly formed finance organization I lead a team in providing timely and accurate reporting and support to 15 Shared Services functions.

I managed multiple teams within Online Services Division (OSD) Finance including the Acquisition Integration team, the WW Accounting Operations Team and the Technical Accounting and Risk Management Team. The Acquisition Integration team was responsible for the successful finance integration of acquired companies, such as aQuantive, into Microsoft. The Accounting Operations team managed all worldwide accounting activity and the Technical Accounting team was responsible not only for controls and compliance but also for contract review, risk management and providing technical accounting guidance. In addition, I also provide leadership for organizational development for OSD Finance including process improvement, employee and management development and organizational health.

Managed managed the WW Operations audit area including organization risk assessment, audit plan definition and audit execution. In addition to my audit activities I also managed all the talent management and development for the organization including performance management, promotion activities for specialization audit managers, training & development and morale and organizational health analysis & development activities.

I started at Microsoft as a Senior Financial Analyst supporting HR Compensation & Benefits. I also took on the dual role of managing the Payroll Accounting team for the US. After a couple of years in these two roles I took on the role of Internal Operations Controller along with other functional activities such as Royalty processing and SOX work related to Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accrued Comp, Equity and other areas.
