The position is based with the Office of Economic Opportunity and is responsible for ensuring that quality services are provided to eligible Vermonters by forty homeless assistance programs in a regulatory-compliant, technically-sound and fiscally-responsible manner. Also responsible for development of programmatic policy, training, and quality control monitoring and budget review.

This position is focused on ameliorating the effects of poverty and homelessness via community service projects implemented through local partners. The State Office of Economic Opportunity provides the core funding to Community Action Agencies and the homeless crisis response system in Vermont. The position is responsible for grant management of multi-million dollar, multi-source programs, including development, monitoring, and evaluation. The Community Services Program Manager coordinates policy, advisory, and technical work for the office, and is critical to implementing AHS strategic initiatives.
