Over the years I have had my fingers in many many pies. I love a diversity of work, and while productive and profitable, it has taken its toll mentally.Taking time to reflect, practice self care and work on my own value as led me to the venture that is Heavy Drinker. This project is about men taking the time to STOP, self assess, relax, unwind, and deservedly so.Men are often hated in our current culture. Simply for being men. The label "Toxic Masculinity" is stuck onto any man that practices actually being manly or masculine. We are chastised for not thinking of others, when no one thinks of us.I refuse to follow that doctrine. The Heavy Drinker vison is a world where men are men and need to continue to be men. And and even more critical part of that practice is taking time for ourselves to heal, introspectively asses our status and mental health, and spend some time with other men in that practice.Heavy Drinker was created in every aspect to piss off people who contradict that vision. We will be abrasive and populate our culture with dark humor. We will tell outsiders to this culture to fuck off and leave us be. We will rebuild that place where men can be men and be appreciated as such for what we do and what we are.High ideals for a company that curates glasses to drink spirits from? Perhaps. We are just one small cog in a very complex machine that is slowly falling apart in disrepair.But that's OK. We are men.We can fix it.
