About Heidi Ash

I am interested in positions that allow me to use the majority of my skills in a manner that assists with continuous improvement and problem solving. My background has provided me with the opportunity to participate in a variety of teaching and learning situations, and I am always interested in finding new ways to apply my skills and experience. I have over 17 years of combined experience as an instructional design specialist, academic librarian, online program director, and instructor in online, hybrid, and face-to-face environments. My area of specialty is the development of quality online courses and educational programs. I have experience in instructional design for face-to-face, hybrid, and online education with a focus on incorporating andragogical techniques and best practices that optimize the student and instructor learning experience. In addition to assisting faculty in designing courses, I have significant experience creating faculty development offerings in the areas of teaching with technology, assessment, Quality Matters, and implementation of teaching theories and best practices. Much of my design work is rooted in personal experience both as an online student and an online instructor, and is further supported by research in the field.
