Early childhood education is my passion. I value children as members of society, as my neighbors and active participants in the community. I believe the most important aspects of early learning are social and emotional as well as diversity and inclusion. I am deeply committed to preventing the development of unconscious bias in children, as well as supporting teachers and childcare centers to "unbias" their classrooms.In addition to directly teaching children, I aim to bolster and support the parents and caretakers of these young children. Many families I have worked with have reported feeling isolated and underprepared as they begin their parenting journeys. A high quality early childhood program (and their high quality teachers!) can serve as community support, mentors, and invaluable resources for families with young children.Opening my dream infant/toddler program in my home has been an eye-opening experience. I value the connections I have made with other Family Child Care Providers, and believe these small and homey settings have tremendous potential in offering the highest quality of care to infants, toddlers, and their families.
