I led the charity through an extensive re-brand which involved design of its new website from concept to implementation and expansion of a suite of printed and digital resources for schools and children’s hospitals across the UK. During the seven years I was there I led the schools' marketing strategy and developed strategic relationships with partners in the field of children’s literacy and reading for pleasure, from charities such as World Book Day, the Reading Agency and the National Literacy Trust, to leading children’s publishers, authors and illustrators, and commercial organisations such as National Book Tokens and the Booksellers' Association, creating lucrative partnerships and successful national campaigns to encourage children to read for pleasure and increase book provision in school libraries. I also produced web and social media content, and helped to develop a web-based app for schools to share their experience of reading for pleasure. I also helped secure high profile media coverage on Children in Need Appeal Night, BBC Radio 4’s The Listening Project, and a successful BBC Radio 4 Charity Appeal.
