Selling stuff isn’t enough. It’s selling the right stuff that matters. That's one of the reasons why Phil and I created our agency, Grounded World. Over the past two-and-a-half decades, I’ve led creative teams at some of the most acclaimed agencies and worked on some of the world’s biggest brands. And I did it well — I’ve won a ton of awards and I’ve sold a lot of stuff to a lot of people. From tampons to credit cards to cereal to mobile phones — the list goes on. But selling stuff, and doing it well just isn't enough. It isn't always the right thing to do. It left me feeling depleted. And depressed. Because I was just driving consumption of products someone else decided we needed, helping to deplete our planet of precious resources and contributing to overconsumption. So, I decided to change the conversation from a commercial one to a purposeful one. And prove to myself and my clients that mission and money should not be mutually exclusive. With that thought, Grounded World was born. At Grounded we use marketing as a force for good — helping brands, nonprofits and impact-minded startups turn purpose into profit and create value by doing good. And we don't help sell anything we don't believe in. I still believe creativity and integrity is what we need to change the world. And I am honored to have an international team of experts around me that believe the same.
