I hold a university degree in urban planning and urban design.Currently, I am a subject matter expert in the Digital Delivery Team at the Government of British Columbia, Ministry of Housing, Housing Innovations Division. My work focuses on streamlining construction development approvals and digital transformation in housing permitting and construction. My expertise spans digital solution development, user engagement, and content design.Previously, I have worked on key initiatives, including land use planning policy, statutory approvals, and programs. Notably, I contributed to the Development Approvals Process Review Initiative at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. At the Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship I have worked on modernizing land and resource stewardship of provincial public land in partnership with Indigenous governments. Additionally, I contributed to a gap analysis of information management and technology, and developed information management tools for forest landscape planning. With over 20 years of experience in both the private (CitySpaces Consulting) and public sectors, I have led land use planning and development projects, community and stakeholder engagement, and collaborated closely with Indigenous communities.Additionally, I have worked with BC provincial government ministries, agencies, regional and local governments, the development industry, Indigenous governments, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions.As a former Chair of the PIBC Communications Committee and an active PIBC Mentor, I am passionate about supporting candidate members as they complete their practical work experience and pursue their registered professional planning designation.
