As the President of the Black Student Union at Menlo College, I have the honor and responsibility of leading our dynamic and diverse community towards fostering an environment of unity, empowerment, and advocacy. My role involves presiding over meetings, guiding discussions on important issues, and ensuring that our club's activities align with our mission to promote cultural awareness, equity, and social justice. I also collaborate closely with club members, the college administration, and external organizations to create and support initiatives that celebrate Black culture, address relevant challenges, and facilitate positive change on our campus and beyond. As the Board Treasurer of Youth United for Community Action (YUCA), a grassroots non-profit in East Palo Alto, CA, I proudly took on the role as the youngest board member ever elected at the age of 16. In this pivotal position, I demonstrated my commitment to fiscal responsibility and organizational growth. I diligently managed financial records, oversaw budget allocations, and facilitated transparent communication. My tenure as Board Treasurer allowed me to contribute to YUCA's mission of empowering our community while honing my leadership skills and leaving an indelible mark on the organization's trajectory.

As CEO of Stardisia Visuals, LLC, I lead a creative agency specializing in innovative multimedia solutions that help brands tell their stories visually. I manage the overall strategy, creative direction, and client relationships, ensuring every project is impactful and visually compelling. We’ve successfully launched campaigns that increase client engagement and foster meaningful partnerships.

As an intern with the San Francisco Estuary Partnership, I've contributed to key shoreline projects, such as the Palo Alto Horizontal Levee and Oro Loma First Mile Horizontal Levee, enhancing flood protection and habitat restoration. I've led research on climate-vulnerable communities, focusing on East Palo Alto, Stockton, and Oakland, to identify vulnerabilities and develop resilience strategies. Additionally, I've conducted interviews with Estuary Youth Council alumni and environmental justice leaders to inform our initiatives and amplify community voices.

Dedicated to making a difference in the world, I am honored to serve as a Youth Representative on the Estuary Youth Council, a platform committed to empowering historically marginalized communities at the annual Estuary Conference. During my impactful internship in the County Executive Office of San Mateo County, I immersed myself in the realm of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB). Collaborating closely with dedicated professionals, I actively contributed to initiatives aimed at fostering an inclusive environment within the county. One initiative being a cultural awareness calendar, used to foster a sense of belonging for employees of all heritages and cultures.Through data analysis, engagement strategies, and community outreach, I gained a profound understanding of the intricacies involved in promoting equitable practices. This experience not only deepened my passion for DEIB work but also equipped me with practical skills to drive meaningful change in the broader community.

As a Senior Organizer with 'Anamatangi Polynesian Voices, I managed the communications team, coordinating organization-wide efforts through monthly email newsletters and weekly social media posts. My role included overseeing various projects, such as:Community Engagement for Peninsula Clean Energy: Successfully enrolled 500 families in cleaner, renewable energy programs.Youth Engagement Commission: Created and led a group of 20 students, administering weekly workshops focused on life skills, professional development, and environmental and social justice.This experience allowed me to enhance my leadership skills and contribute to the empowerment and development of the Polynesian community.

As an Outreach Ambassador with Climate Resilient Communities, I engaged residents of East Palo Alto, East Menlo Park (Belle Haven), and North Fair Oaks in the "Our Communities Our Bay" air quality study. I trained in Purple Air monitors and MicroPems to enroll participants and distributed air purifiers to environmentally disadvantaged communities. Passionate about environmental justice, I'm committed to promoting sustainable practices and ensuring equitable access to clean air for all.

At Nuestra Casa, I focused on environmental justice, leading key initiatives such as infrastructure upgrade advocacy and water testing to improve the quality of life for local communities. I worked to address environmental disparities, advocating for sustainable infrastructure improvements and equitable access to clean water. Through community engagement and outreach, I helped raise awareness on critical issues, connecting residents with resources and solutions for long-term environmental health.

As a Student Marketing Assistant for Academic Success at Menlo College, I helped lead campaigns aimed at increasing student engagement with the tutoring and writing centers. My responsibilities included designing graphics, managing social media content, and executing targeted email campaigns. A critical aspect of my role involved data analytics and auditing confidential files to assess campaign effectiveness and improve outreach strategies.

As a Social Media Intern at Idea 2 Form, I played a pivotal role in building and developing an extensive archive for East Palo Alto. As the youngest seller in Nordstrom's Top Shop/Savy department, I thrived during a challenging period of economic recovery post-COVID. Leveraging my keen understanding of current fashion trends and a proactive sales strategy, I achieved the position of the department's top seller. My success was driven by a blend of innovative selling techniques and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences, which helped me stand out and excel in a competitive environment.

At 14 years old, I began my journey with Youth United for Community Action (YUCA), a fully youth-led organization dedicated to social and environmental justice. Starting as a volunteer at 13, I immersed myself in learning about local issues in East Palo Alto, dedicating two years to understanding social and environmental justice challenges affecting our community.During my tenure, I organized impactful campaigns advocating for immigration rights, transportation accessibility, water rights, and restorative justice practices in local schools. My passion for water justice led me to become an Environmental Fellow with Nuestra Casa de East Palo Alto, focusing on advocacy for water allocation, quality improvement, and green infrastructure.By age 16, I was honored to be named the youngest board member at YUCA, eventually assuming the role of Treasurer. Through these experiences, YUCA provided me with a platform to develop my leadership skills and ignite my potential as a natural leader.
