In 2011 she accepted the ongoing assignment of Educational Consultant in the founding and administration of North Coast Montessori School in Seabrook WA, a new Beach Town on the beautiful Washington Coast!It is Helen's philosophy that success with education begins with the teacher recognizing, understanding, and respecting each student's individual learning style and academic requirements and then tailoring appropriate educational enrichment to meet the needs of each student, thus promoting self-esteem, confidence, and academic success.Helen designed the unique educational enrichment programs used by The Learning Enrichment Center, integrating traditional mainstream teaching, the multi-sensory Montessori Method, and a curriculum of original materials. She has been a presenter of Montessori Teacher Training Seminars and workshops.Helen received her B. A. Cum Laude from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois with election to Phi Beta Kappa, and she has completed the University of Washington Fifth Year Graduate Program in Education Curriculum and Instruction. She has completed other graduate studies at Seattle University, University of Colorado, University of Northern Colorado, and Northern Illinois University. She holds state teaching certificates in four states, Montessori Teacher Certification, and has worked as a tutor and classroom teacher for public and private elementary, middle, and high schools. Veladare School was founded as an independent middle school in Bellevue WA with the mission of providing a rigorous academic program and structured curriculum to prepare students for future scholastic accomplishment. The name Veladare is a Latin expression meaning "to set sail" and was chosen to symbolize our dedication to launching our students on a focused and purposeful academic journey. Veladare School now forms the Upper Level of Eton School.

Helen was one of the original classroom teachers at Eton School in Bellevue WA and developed and implemented the Eton curriculum for students in grades 4 through 8. She developed unique educational enrichment programs integrating traditional mainstream teaching, the multi-sensory Montessori Method, and a curriculum of original materials.
